Île De Coeur is an island not very far from the mainland. You must travel a treacherous path full of jagged rocks and crags in order to reach Île De Coeur but all the hard work is worth it. The trail stretches on for a few miles. Huge stumps grow from the ground acting as if they grew there just to trip equines who aren’t paying attention to where they are running. Another danger are the slippery patches of stone where the water washes over it. That is probably the biggest hazard because if an equine falls, they could break their legs. This path is very treacherous indeed but the work pays off. Île De Coeur, which means heart island in French, is named what it is because it is in the shape of a heart. Many equines fall in love here because it is so beautiful and lovely. The beach around Île De Coeur has very pallid and soft sand which feels good on an equine’s hooves after the long walk to the island. In the middle of the island there are several trees, most being fruit trees. A small pool is also in the middle of the island so Île De Coeur provides food, water, and shade for any equines who visit. Overall Île De Coeur is a very beautiful and lovely place.
